Laser cutting compared to traditional cutting technologies

Laser cutting has many advantages in addition to speed and accuracy, and it has good processing flexibility. For example, it is also suitable for cutting pipes and other specially shaped materials. In addition to all this, it should be mentioned that it can cut any material of hardness without deformation.

It should also be mentioned that the cutting of the workpiece is done without mechanical contact, which is why it is one of the safest processes. The cut is burr-free, the heat-affected zone is small, and the cut surface does not require post-processing. The operation of the laser cutter is focused by one or more special material lenses in the cutting head. The lens focuses the incoming light on the surface of the material in such a way that the diameter of the focal point is around 0.1 mm, thus extraordinary energy is concentrated in a very small area, i.e. the cut is created.

Plasma cutting
Plasma cutting is a thermal cutting process that uses a plasma arc to melt and cut metal. The process uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas (plasma) on the workpiece to create a controlled and focused cutting arc. Thus, we can see that only metals can be cut with plasma cutting, and almost any material can be cut with a laser.

Cutting of heat sensitive materials

The special development allows for multifunctional use. It is possible to mark a logo or other inscription with the same tool. In addition to all of this, we also have the option of cutting more heat-sensitive materials without any post-processing.

With the help of a vector file ( DXF), completely unique patterns can be cut out of the material, which we could not create with a traditional cutting machine. The entire process is contact-free and fully automated, so the possibility of error is minimal.
